The Old Pros’ and the African American Heritage Club will present a tribute to African American Inventors and Scientists, at our regular monthly meeting, Wednesday, February 26 at Clubhouse 7 at 7 pm.
We will show the history behind the Super Soaker, the traffic light, NASA’s rocket fluid and the human computers who calculated the orbits for the first flights into space, along with songs and stories, featuring Allan Williams, Jasmine Monroe, and Annie McCary and others.
As always, the doors open at 6:30 and the play begins at 7 pm. Remember, members are free, guests are $5 and delicious, complimentary snacks are available. Come for the wine, stay for the show.
The Old Pros’ invites all actors, whether members or not, to open auditions for a play named, coincidentally, Audition(s), about the effect of acting on actors as well as the audience. The play will be performed on April 23, 2025. Auditions will be held at the PAC on both Monday, February 10th, 1-3pm and Thursday, Feb 13th, 1-3pm. The Old Pros of Laguna Woods is a theater and educational group that works to bring quality stage and musical productions to our community. Established in 2004, it provides a broad range of theatrical opportunities for everyone, whether they are seasoned professionals or stepping into the theatrical world for the first time.
